I planned a bachelorette trip for my cousin in Tampa Bay. After five unforgettable days exploring everything from rooftop pools to tiki boats, I'm spilling all the gems.
Here's your insider guide to planning the ultimate Tampa bachelorette that your girls will talk about for years.
DO: Get on the Water
DO book a Tiki Party Boat for the ultimate floating celebration. There's something magical about cruising Tampa's waterways on these thatched-roof vessels with your besties, coolers full of champagne, and music blasting. The photos alone are worth it!
DON'T forget to book in advance. These boats get snatched up quickly, especially during peak season. We almost missed out by waiting until the week before.

Pirate Water Taxi: Explore Tampa’s Waterfront
WTR Pool & Grill at the Godfrey Hotel is perfect for bachelorette parties.
DO: Choose Accommodations Strategically
DO splurge on a hotel near the Tampa Water Street if your budget allows. The rooftop pool scene is unmatched, and being within stumbling distance of the Riverwalk meant we could enjoy cocktails without worrying about transportation.
JW Marriott
Tampa Marriott Water Street (formerly the Tampa Marriott Waterside)
Aloft Tampa Downtown
The Tampa EDITION
Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center
Westin Tampa Waterside (formerly Westin Tampa Bay)
Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Downtown
DON'T underestimate the charm of neighborhood rentals. Our friends who stayed in a Hyde Park Airbnb had a completely different (but equally amazing) experience with more space and a local vibe.
DO: Plan for Mix-and-Match Activities
DO incorporate a blend of relaxation and adventure. Our perfect day included morning mimosas then a pool party at WTR Pool & Grill, followed by the Pirate Water Taxi to explore waterfront attractions.
DON'T overschedule. My biggest regret was packing too many activities into one day. We rushed through museums, ziplining, Sparkman Wharf and missed out on fully enjoying the amazing food options because we had to race to each activity.
DO: Eat, Dine, Enjoy
Driftlight - Coastal-inspired cuisine
Six - Rooftop lounge and restaurant
Anchor and Brine - Waterfront dining
Boulon - Trendy french style restaurant
Predalina - Mediterranean eats
DO: Embrace the Theme
DO lean into the fun with custom accessories. Our "Groom on a Stick" props and personalized champagne flutes became the stars of our photos and doubled as perfect keepsakes.
DON'T waste money on single-use items that'll end up trashed. Those expensive sashes looked great for an hour before they started falling apart.
DO: Pack Smart for Tampa Weather
DO bring multiple swimsuit options and lightweight fabrics. Tampa's humidity is no joke!
DON'T forget comfortable walking shoes. The bride’s new sandals left her with blisters after our first day exploring the Riverwalk.
Tampa Bay offers the perfect blend of sophistication and fun for bachelorette groups.
Just remember to balance your itinerary, book key experiences early, and leave room for spontaneous moments—they often become the highlights of the trip. And take lots of pictures and videos.
Your bride tribe will thank you later!
